After years of being woefully neglectful of our website we have decided to come back with a vengence and a purpose. In honor of the coming Spring Equinox and Mother’s day we are presenting works by Fatisha my Mother and Early works by myself. Many of these works had never seen before, in gallery, on line, and yes even instagram. My Mom’s work was showing at the now “doors close,” sadly; TAG gallery in Seattle. They had sent me her paintings about a year ago, and I was staggered because I already had over one hundred of them in my possession.

My Mother began painting as a form of healing after being diagnosed with breast cancer, and after she had past I didn’t what to do with her paintings. So many of them were personal to me because I had helped her title them and hung them throughout my apartment. I had thought about approaching galleries and other venues but it was always lackluster. Eventually a friend asked for a print and I made a Giclée print for her, she and I were both very excited I got to keep my mom’s originals and I was also able to gift a friend. I also feel the same about much of my early work although much of it was analog collage I had never shown it and then I moved to digital collage but much of that wasn’t shown. I had moved in a different direction and until recently had looked at my old work. It was hard for part with because my mother such a huge influence on my early not in the style but in the Blackness. So now I’m offering those never before seen pieces to you as prints of which you’ll be able to see on May 14th, 2023. As added incentive if we hit five thousand views on our site by Mother’s Day I will give these framed prints away to one of our followers here or on Social Media. May 15th, 2023 5:00pm PST.

We will still be posting new content between then and now and we will giving updates on our view count every Thursday with our Art posts also recurring on Sunday’s.
